As he looks for the book that would lead him to his father then the Holy Grail, Indy knocks a soldier unconscious, turns around and finds himself facing Hitler who gladly signs his father’s grail diary unsuspecting he was facing the very man who was responsible for his losing the war. Many holy relics were superstition to have great powers, one of which was to give dominance to the one who has them over all other men, Indy took the Ark from the Nazis in the Raiders movie which resulted in the loss of the war for Hitler’s Nazi Germany.
