The stunning action with the rolling stone and all the stunts were all unparalleled and so realistic many who saw them hung at the edge of their seats as they screamed and laughed as scene after scene gave viewers the thrill of their lives. The scene with the Ark being stored as the story ends, is actually a painting on glass through which the forklift and other real aspects were filmed through gaps in the paint. Harrison Ford did most (aside for the most dangerous ones where any of his three stand-ins took his place for his death would signify the end of the film and the legend) if not all the stunts in most of his films which may have added reality and excitement to most of his films which he takes pride in. The almost seamless action and all the stunts do make for one of the best action/adventure films of all time.
