In the Temple of Doom, Indy’s slashing of the rope bridge that sends a dire moment into something worse (his trademark actually, escaping from one danger to another which is worse). The unappealing meal at the plush Indian Palace where Indy and Willie are served dish after dish of some of the most bizarre foods they have ever seen, topped by the monkey brains still in their craniums (nice special effects). In the Last Crusade, Indiana follows a lead from his father’s grail diary which has him getting into the party with Nazi’s and who else Hitler himself, as they burn books as a sign of the birth of a new race (one of the books is needed by Indy to get the Grail).
The movie has very nicely done climactic endings which were complemented by memorable moments when Indy always won and made his mark. In the one of the most memorable movie scenes, he is being chased by a big round boulder as he runs for his life in the Temple of Doom as he ducks, jumps as he tries to escape being rolled to death. The next scene has the greedy Germans melting as they stare into the Ark of the Covenant which contained the wrath of GOD which killed all who saw it. The Ark of the Covenant is stored in a warehouse, assigned a code then placed with the other relics in storage. In Raiders of the Lost Ark again, the sword fight that ended before it began with a shot expert swordsman which is recognized to be one of the most hilarious scenes in all the movies.
The sequel to the first film which sparked a lot of interest was set mainly in India where he discovers a Cult that used children as labor and slaves in their operations. Again, Harrison Ford is thrust deep into an action adventure film that captivated more and more people since the first film’s release. The righteous Indy tries to rescue the said children who uses cult magic and other means who kidnaps children from their hometowns never to be seen again. They were sacrificed, beaten and used to mine some enchanted stones that were to give the cult ultimate powers over mankind.
